about the filmmaker

Ian comes from a long line of kitchen-table storytellers and he continues this tradition through filmmaking. He focuses his personal projects on stories that may be overlooked by traditional media in hopes of building understanding and empathy towards our neighbors, to build strength and evolve in our communities.

Along with directing his own documentaries, he works as a Co-Executive producer on docuseries crafting unscripted content for clients such as NBC/Universal, AMC, Sundance Channel, Paramount+, Viceland, Discovery, and PBS.
